Our Blindness

We are so blind and completely ignorant to life.
Days go by and we never truly see.
Our eyes are covered by another's hand.
Or maybe we choose not to see on our own.
Intentionally turning out heads, as to not see the horrific truth.
It's not all our fault, no.
The media and other people cover our eyes.
It's like rain, so blinding,
But we still can see parts of the picture.
So why don't we choose to see;
Chose to acknowledge the truth.
We are so afraid of the truth,
That we back ourselves into a corner;
A corner of self-seclusion.
We stare at the wall,
Never to see the truth.
